About Me
I trained in the psychodynamic tradition with The University Counselling Service in Cambridge. I hold a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy Advanced and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, am BACP accredited and Registered Independent Counsellor.
My first career was in Art and Design. This developed my interest in the artistic expression of the unconscious and began my journey into counselling in 1991.
Working initially with CRUSE, I then undertook specialist training to work with bereaved young people and later with a colleague, launched a new service in Huntingdonshire. This was the first of its kind in the area and after many years is still delivering a valuable counselling service .
Since completing my training, I now work in a variety of settings including Private Practice, a GP Surgery, Complementary Health Centres, Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling and for Employee Assistant Programmes (EAPs).
More recently I have formed a counselling partnership called Therapists in Practice, which runs personal development groups for women experiencing Mid-Life issues.
For more information about the women’s groups please contact therapistsinpractice@hotmail.com and for individual work ros@cambridgeshirecounsellor.co.uk or telephone 01487 840674.
I believe seeking to work with a Counsellor is about making a positive choice to find the help that you need.
