I trained in the psychodynamic tradition with The University Counselling Service, Cambridge. I hold a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy Advanced and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling. I am BACP Accredited and Registered and a Registered Independent Counsellor. I have undertaken a one year training with the Institute of Group Analysis and recently completed a brief training in Cognitive Analytical Therapy. I began my counselling career over 20 years ago. My first career was in Art and Design which developed my interest in the artistic expression of the unconscious and began my journey into counselling. Working initially with Adult Cruse for many years, I continued with specialist training to work with the young and bereaved. A colleague and I then launched a new service in Huntingdonshire. This was the first of its kind in the area and after many years is still delivering a valuable counselling service. Since completing my BACP training, I now work in a variety of settings and these include, Private Practice, at a Complementary Health Centre, with Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling, and also for Employee Assistance Programmes. I’ve previously worked with two local G.P practices and am registered with most major Private Health Insurance Companies.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a minimum of 30 hours per year. Details are available under Recent Trainings.
